Toppling Chinese government no cure for human-rights woes

This is a pretty interesting article.  I thought this would be a good time to bring up the idea that condemning a government seems to be a faux pas and evil seems like something that some people do not believe exists.  I think it could be the fact that the party is made up from a lot of people.  But I am not condemning all those people, only the ones who are guilty. Most of the people who are at the upper cadres have corroborated in horrible crimes against humanity.  Also the way the party sets itself up and the patterns it has dug itself into make it seem to me that there is no way for them to change.  If you look at Falun Gong and the other persecution campaigns against Chinese people, the regime uses false information to justify these atrocities.  So how can truth coexist with this regime?

If the CCP comes clean and admits to the truth, will Chinese people still accept them?  I don’t think so.  This is just my opinion though and I would like to hear from others why evil and regime change are uncomfortable concepts…

What is so horrible about regime change?  Wouldn’t it be good for China? Isn’t the CCP evil? How can a group that commits so much lying and killing, torture, etc. NOT be considered evil?  If the CCP is not evil, what is?

ANyway, I think the discomfort comes from lack of information.

  1. Hi,

First of all, it is nice of you to open up a new blog. I do have problems with what you said about the ‘evils’ of the CCP party and why we should spread democracy to that country.

First, let me tell you a country with ‘human rights’ issues. People get their hands and/or legs choped off for robbery. You get lashings for ‘sexual deviance’ and drunkenness. Heck people get beheaded for crimes like drug trafficking, armed robbers and rapists. There’s little women’s rights, gay rights, religious freedoms and etc… If you think it is China, think again, it is Saudi Arabia. And heck you can’t even vote for your leader because it is an Absolute Monarchy. Yet what you see in the TV, newspapers and the internet don’t want to say anything about it because US are bosom buddies with that country, US doesn’t care what they do as long as the US supplies oil in exchange for arms.

Second, do you think spreading democracy is the best solution for that country? Do you think democracy will improve quality of life to its citizens like giving the Chinese more earning power, giving the Chinese better healthcare, schools and food on the table? More than likely, no. Even though China is technically a communist government, its economy is certainly Capitalist. Its Authoritarian government is certainly trying to provide the social needs for its citizens. Would they sacrifice that so that they can elect their leaders? Come on.

  2. Hi there pug,

You mentioned democracy… You are right that to Chinese people electing leaders is not the main priority. I am not here to tell people that they should be electing their leaders because I am not interested in politics. So I would agree with you about that. I know that democratic system is not in the Chinese culture, but neither is the way it is set up now. Is there not a middle way? I do not like the way the people are caged like animals and treated as enemies and threats by the regime as it is now. I do not support the corruption and environmental degradation that the current regime is incapable of handling. But more than anything, I think that China would be better off with more mental openness, honest dialogue, critical media who are ALLOWED to keep people genuinely informed, not indoctrinated.

I’m not sure if you understand my thinking. Maybe you do not agree.

Thanks for info about Saudi Arabia, it’s always good to let people know this stuff…

I’ll keep posting, I hope I can be more clear on what I mean…

Thanks for the welcome (- :

  3. It is really disheartening to see not because of CCP China, but the hate for the CCP seems to be some kind of self perpetual machine.

I recall several years back that after 9/11, we were duped by Bush of WMD’s in Iraq. Several years later we regret that we attacked Iraq because there were no WMD’s in Iraq and there seems to be no end to the Iraq situation. We were duped by reports of the Media with its self perpetual machine to spoonfeed us information about how good it will be to get rid Saddam and his murderous regime. Many of us later thought the end didn’t justify the means. There is a term for it, called ‘information dominance’ or ‘message multipliers’ that started a year before the Iraq war. There’s more information about it.

I’m afraid the hate towards china starting to be a self perpetual machine again. I agree CCP Party is not the most just party out there. But does the hate towards them justify its means?

  4. You and me have to work together to combat hate. hate is not good, but that does not mean that bad people deserve a compliment. Bad is bad and the good person has to mention it or there will be no justice, do we agree on that.

There is a quote that some westerners know about : ‘All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing’ So it is that good people should not be cowards and weeklings. Good is supposed to be stronger than bad, otherwise the world is not so happy (I find this imbalance now making people very sad).

I think you are worried that all the bad stuff associated with the government is being attributed to the country as a whole.

If that is the case, I strongly suggest that you do what you can to express that you do not support the misdeeds of the party. I am so sure that people will see Chinese people in a new light if they see some people with enough courage to say that they are Chinese, and the communists of only 50 years does not represent their long culture and glorious land.

If you support the things that the CCP does, well, please make sure you are very well informed. The link you gave me earlier shows me that you should look much more closely for the facts. If in the end you support the bloody massacres carried out by the CCP, you will have to be prepared to be judged. The people in the world with a sense of justice will never say that is good.

Do you get what I’m saying?

    Bon Courage.
