Chinese Government Threatens Google

Benzinga: The Wall Street Journal reports that Chinese government has made its toughest statement yet on Google, Inc.’s (NASDAQ: GOOG) future in the country.

Speaking at a press conference on Friday, Li Yizhong, China’s Minister of Industry and Information Technology, said, “I hope Google can respect Chinese rules and regulations. If you insist on taking this action that violates Chinese laws, I repeat: you are unfriendly and irresponsible, and you yourself will have to bear the consequences,” responding to a question asked by a reporter on how China would react if Google stopped censoring its website in the country.

  1. Time to boycott china. Its easy if everyone is comitted. In Europe and America the manufacturing workbases can be brought back to life, oil demand is actively being cut and our geographical position is a lot more stable than China’s. Let China destroy itself and trust me it will. Check out its human right records and its enviromenta records. Also its aging population. This country is screwed long term and it knows it. Consider that it has a populaton devided by internal suffering, consider the infraststructure that springs up and gets left deserted. This country is screwed. Boycott china and watch the country fail. Hopefully then a new regime will come in and help out those poor citizens the current communist regime supresses.

I have no worries about the west. It does not come down to economics. It comes down to geography. China is two thirds desert and this is expanding all the time. Thier lack of acceptance of green issues will be their downfall. Let them take the oil. let them cut down the trees and let them fail.
