Cypress Times – On Saturday, March 6, 2010, the Houston Chapter of Quitting CCP Service Center (http://QuitCCP.org) will host a rally at the Chinatown of Houston Southwest in support of 69 million Chinese people who have openly renounced their membership in the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliate organizations.

The wave of quitting CCP began after The Epoch Times international newspaper published a series of editorials in late 2004 entitled Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party (http://ninecommentaries.com). The Nine Commentaries disclose the uncensored history of the CCP and its legacy of tragedy, which has left 80 million Chinese dead from unnatural causes.

On December 3, 2004, The Epoch Times set up a website, http://tuidang.epochtimes.com, so that Party members could post their individual withdrawals. The website has since served as a forum for the public to openly express its opinions about communism and renounce party membership. To date, the total number of public renunciations has almost reached 70 million, with about 50,000 each day.
